This week in phonics we’ve been using the magnetic boards to find sounds and make short words. We’ve been practising our sounding out of sounds and then blending them to read words.
In our maths learning this week we’ve been practising our careful counting. Ask your child what our top tips are to counting successfully. Here are a few clues to help them remember. (Count slowly like a 🐌 touch what you are counting👆🏽say the numbers out loud 👄)
We’ve had so much fun in Busy Bee time this week. We’ve been on a sound hunt outside and recorded on whiteboards what we found. We’ve been practising our cutting skills by cutting out shapes and ordering them from biggest to smallest. We’ve been writing letters to Draco and leaving them in his cupboard. He even wrote a letter back to us this week, ask us about it.

It’s been a brilliant first half term with Skipper F. Thank you all so much for being you and for making our classroom a lovely place to be. Now enjoy the half term, rest and play and I look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday 2nd November.
