Skipper 3 have made the most incredible start to their times tables homework! Every Wednesday we’ll be quizzing the class on their next times tables challenge. Then if they pass their next level (and they don’t always – gold is tough to pass!) they will move to the next level.
These will be stuck into their reading diaries every week on a Thursday. If reading diaries aren’t in the school they will get a small slip to take home.
The levels are always bronze, silver then gold for every times table and they have one to work on all week. Gold involves a times table quiz out of order and within 6 seconds for each question. This gives them an ability to recall their times table much faster, we find this hugely improves their ability in Maths lessons. Plus gives them a great head start for the Year 4 times tables test!
